Hello and welcome to our latest update.
Gary has now drawn the last of his pages and only has an handful of alterations to make before those pages can be coloured and lettered. We will then, finally, be able to go to print.
Once again, thank you all for your patience; it is greatly appreciated.

So, it’s been very quiet on here for some time, and for that we apologise; some of the crew have been beset by personal issues with have impacted on the project, resulting in the delays you’ve experienced.
Thankfully, it’s not all doom and gloom. We can reveal, for instance, that all the pages have been drawn and, barring a few alterations here and there, are ready to be coloured and lettered.
Needles to say, we’ll keep you updated on the progress of those last few pages. We also thank you for your support and incredible patience; we will make it worthwhile.
Very best,
E.M.PRESS Publications

Hello, and welcome to this latest update to First Men on Mars #1.
After a suite of considerable challenges, we now have only one page left to finish. We will then move onto lettering the last few pages before we send issue #1 to our printers.
Thank you all so much for your patience. We are both truly sorry for the delays we have suffered, and thankful for your continued patience.
Very best wishes,
Paul

Hello,
Thank you to everyone who backed our First Men on Mars Kickstarter last year. We were overwhelmed by your support and have spent many months working on the book for you.
An apology.
It is now July 2024 and the original planned schedule and release date is passed and later than we originally hoped for. Working with our team of artists proved more of a challenge than expected and found us having to deal with delays due to balancing their various publishing and TV scheduled work. We also had to accommodate breaks for personal matters from our team to allow them time to return. We value the health and wellbeing of our team to allow them to deliver the best work.
For myself, I have been dealing with a move to another country [under Brexit] and the setup of a new studio, and had various health issues, which have impacted on my drawing. It has been a difficult and frustrating time dealing with visa issues and other non-FMoM related work on top of everything else. The hopeful sale of our house and a return to the UK should finally bring all that chaos to an end and bring me back to square one. A disappointing turn of events, for sure. The last two years have severely impacted my physical and mental health and my focus on FMoM and I apologise for that.
We are now in the final stages of production. Checks are underway on the art, colouring, and lettering, Additional checks for continuity are essential due to the five artists and two colourists we have working together on this book. It continues to be a Herculean task but we are on the final stretch.
Thank you again of your patience and we hope you enjoy the book when it is released.

Hello and welcome to this latest update.
Please accept my apologies. I'm acutely aware that we're now running late. We're still waiting for the last few pages to be drawn. Those pages which have been drawn are in the process of being coloured and lettered as we speak.
That is the state of play at the moment. Without sharing the pages which have been completed more recently (which many of you, understandably, would prefer not to be shown due to spoilers), that's pretty much all I have for you right now. I will, of course, bring you more news as and when the remaining pages are completed. All that remains is to thank you for your ongoing patience.
Very best wishes,
Paul
